“it is no wonder that most Catholics, pastored by homosexual clergy, cannot explain the reasons why the Catholic Church teaches that homosexual behavior is as immoral as adultery”

Um, doesnt the Church teach that it is way worse than adultery? It is one of the “sins that cry out to heaven for vengeance” along with willful murder (which includes infanticide), oppressing the poor (particularly widows and orphans), and depriving workers of their wages.

The fact that most bishops know that Pope Francis preyed upon Jesuit novices like McCarrick abused seminarians and young priests, the straight bishops are keeping their mouths shut because they don’t want to be excommunicated like Vigano or canceled like Strickland, and the gay bishops won’t say anything because most of them have also had sex with teenage boys or other adult men.

I really don’t get it. Why there arent more bishops even *trying*? A lot of them are old, theyre single, what’s the worst that happens? They end up sidelined and only able to be around a bunch of really good people to whom they are heroes and dont have to put up with a bunch of tiresome garbage anymore? That seems like a no brainer. I feel tired by all of this and I’m middle aged and not in charge of anything. I can’t imagine how exhausting it would be to be a bishop, plus you’re at least partially liable for the fate of the souls in your diocese, which is terrifying.

It's hard being gay and living in the closet. I think it's even harder and lonelier to be a closeted gay bishop. Not only do a number of them move in with another gay bishop or priest partner when they retire, but some of them arte even being buried together today. The Church is keeping quiet about it just as thery did when quite a number of bishops and priests were dying of AIDS.
