The idea that the Irish College in Rome might ever close would have seemed like an outrage against the basic laws of nature. But close it did.
The biggest seminary in England, Ushaw in the north-east, had a capacity for 400 students. In the 1960s there were even thoughts of building an extra block to cope with the hordes of eager young men who were obviously going to enter the priesthood after Vatican II.
By 2002 there were 38 students. It still lingered on until 2010 when there were 26 students and the decision to close was finally made. No one wanted to pull the plug after 200+ years of training priests. But the ugly circumstances were overwhelming.
So I guess the NAC will linger on until there is hardly anyone left to turn off the last lights. No one wants to close such a historic place next to Head Office.
It is better that the homosexual infested NAC close. That way anyone who might have gone there doesn't have to deal with the faith destroying gay subculture.
If it weren't for foreign born and educated priests, especially from India, the Philippines, and Nigeria, far more parishes in the USA would have to close. I emigrated to the Philippines 10 years ago to live out my retirement and found the churches here to be filled on Sundays and the Masses to be reverent.
Sadly, we get to a point when a structure is so rotted the only choice is to tear it down. The NAC is pretty much there. Let's ask a simple question, you have a gifted devote son, has the calling and talents to be a solid, faithful priest, do you send him to the NAC? Probably not. One glaring and never mentioned point is that these institutions, and the 'men' running them never seem to repent, change or acknowledge the failures. As we know before there can be mercy there is the first duty of justice. We have a merciful God, but also a Just God. For Christian Charity contains both justice and mercy.
What I find most maddening in these august centers of great Christian learning the people running them don't know, or at least they do not understand the ten commandments. As job one is saving souls, most fail. Most of our current bishops in their posh residents, with cooks, house staff, driver etc., are well removed for the poverty of the apostles. While the original apostles were rich in faith and charity our bishops are rich and wedded to the worldly comforts.
They quickly ask us to sacrifice and pay, but what do they do? I often ask people what bishop you would be willing to go into business with, and there are very very few.
"If it were not for the foreign priests and foreign-born seminarians, as well as for the large number of illegal immigrants, Catholic churches would be as empty as most “LGBT inclusive Protestant churches”..."
No wonder so many Bishops are squealing about deporting illegal immigrants. Are the Bishops again merely multiple accessories to layers of crime:
1. Benefiting from the presence of illegal immigrants.
2. Campaigning against removing illegal immigrants.
3. Doing all they can to assist illegal immigrants?
Among many other things, the homosex priests are blocking the eventual reconciliation of abortive women (and men) with the church. Who could take such a sordid sin to confession with a sodomite who very well might not even be a priest because of his homosexuality.

Exorcize the building.

Tbh kinda makes sense. TLM, miles of lace and silk, fops know their own.
Fr Gene,
This bit of your article just struck me:
