Not as long as the pope or his successor is as dirty as those reporting to him.

All of this and so much more so disheartening .

We have lost one time friends and relatives for telling the truth, about the Fauci protocols and the sexual perversions in the parishes and Diocese we lived in.

Come Lord Jesus , Oh Savior , Save us, that all should repent........especially all the liars we know

personally , who profess to be righteous Catholics.

These wolves in sheep’s clothing who seem to rise so easily in the church hierarchy are abominable. How I detest those who use their earthly power to abuse the weak and the young. But thank God, the Blessed Virgin Mary will crush Satan’s head and with him his minions⚔️⚔️

Father Gene,

After your recent email pointing to Liz Yore's enthralling article on McCarrick's money, a host of pertinent questions remain unanswered. It shows the value of the old journalistic advice - follow the money.

McCarrick did not have a wealthy start in life. His father died when he was three and his mother worked in a car parts factory. Yet, when he was being laicised, one consideration in reducing him to the lay state was that he had plenty of money and would not be reduced to destitution in his last years.

So where on earth had all this money come from? Priests do not take a vow of poverty. So there was no canonical ban on him accumulating shrewd investments, property, etc. Who funded him? How much was he worth? Who gets the proceeds of his estate? And many other good questions which Liz Yore raises.....

Diocesan clergy do not take the vow of poverty like priests in religious orders. Bishops have access to diocesan funds and can ammass millions like retired Cardinal Wuerl who was given around $5 million " for ministerial duties." In reality, it was really "hush money" he received from Cardinal Gregory. Baltimore Archbishop William Lori receives around $165,000 a year for being the chaplain of the Knights of Columbus. Many bishops expect $500-$1,000 for doing a simple parish Confirmation ceremony. Former Bishop Michael Bransfield from West Virginia was notorious for his lavish lifestyle as the diocese owned land that was rich in oil. The bottom line is that McCarrick, like many bishops , was loaded. Who inherited his money is being kept a secret by Church officials.

Thanks for a very helpful answer, Fr Gene. I love one particular benefit of being a bishop: apparently if you are a priest of a religious order who has taken the usual three vows and you are made a bishop, as many have been, you are no longer bound by your vow of poverty. I recall one bullshite excuse - that, as a bishop, you have to administer property.

Eh???? Don't religious orders have huge amounts of property to administer? There was that story of a young Jesuit visiting a very luxurious house of his order in California. After checking out his new accommodation, he declared: "If this is poverty, bring on chastity...."

Which seems to be the spirit in which the late Archbishop Weakland OSB of Milwaukee approached his vows.

The Errors of Russia are in full tilt in Christ’s Church on earth . V2 was the “outing” of this scourge, and we are witnessing Satan’s reign on earth becoming bolder every day with the help of his followers in the clergy. I applaud you for your courage and dedication to exposing this evil. You have my prayers.

Deo Gratias!

Thanks JumpJet! Somebody has to fight for those who were abused as minors and vulnerable adults. Unfortunately, the Pope, bishops, and the Catholic media continue to cover it all up. Your prayers are deeply appreciated. Happy Easter!

Thanks very much Fr Gene. As Pope Francis has multiple problems of his own, no one from the Vatican is going to pressure McElroy. Not that they were ever going to discipline anyone unless there was ferocious media pressure, like with Uncle Ted McCarrick. Any bets that even Fr Marco Rupnik is going to face earthly justice?

Not as long as you have a pope as corrupt as most of the accused clerics. We need another Pope like, Albino Luciani,

Pope JohnPaul I.

I personally knew Mark Brooks. What certain priests and bishops did to this man was beyond inexcusable. The Vatican has a lonstanding tradition of sending its dregs to run the chancery in San Diego. The result is that the diocese is a laughingstock.

Robert, I have an audio recording of Mark who shared his experiences which moved Randy Engel to write about him, Reveles, and Quinn. While I met Reveles in 1994 and I met Quinn in Rome, Dc, and San Francisco, I never met Mark. Can we speak on the phone? Genegomulka@gmail.com
