I'm interested to know how many pings Grindr is getting within the Vatican these days--serious question. How many clerics are on gay "dating" apps? As long as closeted homosexuals are in charge, none of this will change.
I'm currently reading IN THE CLOSET OF THE VATICAN by Frederic Martel that I bought on eBay. This is from one book review: "It was a glimpse of the poisonous world that Frédéric Martel, himself gay, has spent five years researching for this book. In this place of make-believe, guilt and constant innuendo, the prelates live in a tension between the dreadful fear of being outed and the loneliness of not being recognised for who and what they are. So they out each other instead, compulsively. Martel’s rule of thumb is that the most publicly homophobic prelates are those most likely to be homosexually inclined themselves; the only ones who feel they can afford to be sympathetic to gay people are celibate straight people, who do exist in the Vatican. Martel quotes the estimate of the pope’s former chief Latinist that up to 80% of the Vatican staff could be gay even if obviously most of them are buttoned up. The real figure is unknowable but 80% is not entirely incredible."
To think that these same prelates are roaming the earth, scolding their flocks for being un-progressive, meanwhile having no semblance of understanding of a straight man's sense of family, faith, commitments. The gay prelate is detached from reality.
A number of Catholics have reported how their pastor seems totally incapable of relating to their family life. The problem of the shortage of straight priests was addressed by the late Bishop Pat Buckley who wrote: "Today, the Roman Catholic episcopate and priesthood are predominantly gay. Is it a case that they promote each other? Is it a case that they promote each other in return for sexual favors? The case of ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick is a case in point. McCarrick saw to it that quite a number of his former bedfellows got miters. The old belief that the Holy Spirit appoints bishops is nonsense. A cleric gets promoted for being a company man, for having a brown tongue, and it seems for bending over for your superiors. Why are so many gay men attracted to the priesthood? Do they go in there to hide? Do they go in to escape? Do they go in for the position and the status? Do they go in for the easy, comfortable life?
We laity must question the priest before he confesses us: "Are you homosexual?" to separate the sheep from the goats. Perhaps this would wake them up that it matters. And the good priests have nothing to fear; if there is a mass exodus of homosexual priests from the Church, there will be room for the "Good Men" to return. Read "Goodbye, Good Men"
There are roughly 53 million US Catholics and some 23 million German Catholics. I'm sure both are equally corrupt, but, numerically, I believe there are more corrupt US bishops. I remember when I invited a German seminarian friend from the Angelicum University to the North American College (NAC) for lunch. He came to my room after lunch and emotionally told me how someone at his Rome residence came into his shower that morning and tried to come on to him. When he told me how he threw him out, I told him two gay seminarians tried coming on to me too. In Germany, the U.S., and in many other countries (less so in Africa and Asia) Catholic seminaries have a problem with homosexual predation that continues to be covered up to this day, including at the NAC where Dolan was the rector when 1 in 12 seminarians were found to be HIV positive. For Dolan's ongoing cover-up of this problem, see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zyCiI5kPTkI For a very detailed examination of this problem in US seminaries, see: www.gomulka.net/Seminaries.pdf
The facts and these 'men's' actions have defined them now for decades. What has become glaring evident is they do not care about their flock and the souls entrusted to them. Of all the virtues Christian Charity is the the greatest. True Charity and Mercy are unknown to these wolves. This is made clear in their actual indifference to the victims. Has anyone seen any of them embarrassed and truly hurt by the assaults on the Bridge of Christ? What is worse they use the system of canon law and the duty of obedience to both hide and bludgeon their critics. Sadly they seem only be concerned when it comes to money, their lifestyle power and comfort. Any Pope has a difficult ask to rid the Church of these ubiquitous choking weeds. Their roots are deep and long and always seeking the strangle and silence the faithful. The money must be cut off to them.
When President Garfield was assassinated, his V.P., Chester Arthur, was a thoroughly corrupt NY politician under the thumb of Conklin. The country was upset such a lowlife could become president, and Arthur knew he was not capable of the job and was in deep despair.
Then he received a letter from, Julia Sand, an invalid, the gist of which was “a man can change.” It’s a remarkable story and well written, as is her letter.
Pope Leo XIV needs a little taste of honey to proceed with the bitter task of “retiring” scandalous bishops, and that his flock is anxiously waiting for him to buck up and be a real man and end the cover-up and embrace the victims.
Yes. Toss them out. Do they save souls? No. Do they believe in the magisterium of the Church and the teachings of Christ? No. They fail. Get rid of them. We started with 12 and grew to over a billion plus. Trust in God. Toss out the rot. God will provide. Let these creatures start their own group where each are their own god. We need to say to these bishops, we respect your office, but you failed in it, please leave. Plus, they steal money from the faithful as they apply the funds to matters that have no connection to the reason for the donations. If this was a private corporation, most would be incarcerated for misappropriation of funds. The reason the Church has paid billions of dollars is these men failed. They run the organization, yet they take no responsibility. I say if any of them showed true remorse and true contrition and concern for the victims the settlements would have been less. When have you heard one of these men ever speak about the concern for the souls of the abused? Do they have even an inkling that God and His Law is involved here? These men no knowing of God's Mercy and sadly for them they know or have no fear of His Justice.
Yes. Plus keeping these creatures in places of power will stop reforms. We must consider job one, the salvation of souls. Better no bishops than bad evil bishops. We started with 12 and grew to well over a billion plus. Trust in God, not men. God will rebuild His Church. The Church is His, not the bishops. Bishops serve God and the faithful. Since they do neither they fail and should be removed. Is about God, and the salvation of souls, it not about them.
Reading the autobiography. I've visited New London and driven through it a million times. Beautiful coastline. And the statements about Cote, Dolan, etc., resonate.

Fernandez has to go
If Leo keeps him, as we would say in the military, the Church is “in some big kimchi.”
"the most scandal-racked episcopal body in the world: the U.S. Bishops."
The Germans would like a word...

Wow!!!! So eloquently stated! This is why comments at the end of articles are sometimes more insightful and moving than the article itself.

Fr. Gomulka, you might want to try this approach: https://open.substack.com/pub/librarianofcelaeno/p/garfield-arthur-and-sand?r=5b9h7a&utm_medium=ios

Why would he clear out men he helped to choose for those positions?

Gene: Are you still a priest, single, or married? It is unclear.

I can't say that I've led a boring life. God has blessed me in sooooo many ways.
