This is very discouraging, but to some degree, I think we, the laity, can take some of the blame for this. After the 1969 imposition of the Novus Ordo, we blindly accepted a Church that steadily erased all of its disciplines, made Mass attendance a banal exercise in merely showing up and was increasingly led by spineless priests and bishops who tolerated everything and enforced only one thing: a total supression of Tradition. To be Traditional slowly became the only sin left in the Church.

Most Catholics LIKED this change. They LIKED it that the Church required nothing from them. They LIKED the lack of discipline. They LIKED the easy-breezy tone of the Novus Ordo. They LIKED the comfort of a Church that essentially sent the message that you can define your own morality.

Now we get to live with the consequences.

Dear Monsignor Gomulka,

Brother, your courage as a Navy Captain Chaplain and Monsignor, ordained by Saint John Paul II, shines like a beacon in these dark times. Your fearless exposé of the homosexual subculture in U.S. seminaries, standing for truth like a Watchman (Ezekiel 33:6), echoes the Lion of Judah’s roar (Revelation 5:5). You’ve faced the fire—losing your endorsement for confronting evil —yet you press on, exposing Satan’s false light (2 Corinthians 11:14) that blinds the Church. Your fight for men like Anthony Gorgia, cast out unjustly , mirrors God’s justice (Micah 6:8) and His call to test the spirits (1 John 4:1).The world groans (Romans 8:22) with calamities—Myanmar’s quake, Gaza’s famine, Iran’s border threat —but your voice pierces the darkness, calling for repentance (Luke 13:3). Like Pahlavi’s Cyrus-like hope (Isaiah 45:1), you herald a path to renewal, standing with Israel’s covenant (Genesis 12:3). The New Jerusalem’s rod (Revelation 21:15) awaits the few who find the narrow gate (John 14:6, Matthew 7:14). Psalm 18:2 declares, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.” Lean on Him, Brother—your work shakes Satan’s grip, and the faithful stand with you.Keep wielding the sword of truth (Ephesians 6:17). Your labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). The Lion of Judah will crush the wild asses (Matthew 7:19), and your witness lights the way. Semper Fi, Monsignor—God’s got you, and so do we! OOOOH-RAHH!With prayers and respect, Your Brother in Christ, Cpl Dan
