I'm 76 and served on active duty for 24 years. When you read my bio, you'll see where I served between 1980 (beginning at 2D MARDIV) and 2004 (after serving as the MARFORPAC Chaplain from 1999 to 2002). See: www.gomulka.net/Bio.pdf Do you know the story of USMC veteran, Mark Brooks, who was drugged and sodomized in San Diego while studying for the priesthood? He inspired my screenplay, www.gomulka.net/DOI.pdf You can reach me at genegomulka@gmail.com
Fr. Gene, I am a retired U. S. Marine and inspired by your column. I live in the diocese of San Diego, the former diocese of the disgraced Cardinal McElroy. I am 78 years old, and, my wife and I currently attend St. Anne's in San Diego, a TLM church, with the FSSP clergy. This laicized former priest, Jacob Bertrand was the former pastor of Santa Sophia, a Church which my wife and I attended before discovering St. Anne's. Bertrand is now a commercial real estate agent in San Diego, married and the father of 3 children. What a disgrace McElroy was and will continue to be in D. C.
Great article, Fr Gene! I signed the petition for LifeSite to demand an RICO investigation o the USCCB…get the CIA out of the Church, get the political operatives out of the conclave, rise above the media. Pray
Msgr Gene. Aside from the monies that the USCCB would not give them. Why do you think the Catholic media refuses to broach these topics. Is it just fear of “biting the hand that feeds you” or is there a level of corruption in the Catholic media that is beholden to the Lavender Mafia that they feel compelled to protect. A “real” journal could have a field day with all of this yet they don’t?
You raise a very important point. I think you're right. A military commanding officer may cover up a rape for fear that it could reflect poorly on his leadership and prevent him from getting promoted. Catholic editors may fear taking heat from Church officials or upsetting their readership if they were to expose too much corruption. In most cases, money is often the bottom line. Because I don't ask to be paid for what I write, and because I don't report to ecclesiastical authority, I am not limited like most priests who are aware of what happened to Bishop Strickland and many good, courageous, outspoken canceled priests. I have written articles in the past about the media: https://johneighteenthirtyseven.substack.com/p/complicit-catholic-media
I stopped watching EWTN because of - I believe - what you described about never offending the laity, even refusing to cover very significant events such as when Pope Francis spoke herecies .. again.
When EWTN removed Fr. John Corapi based on questionable charges it was clear to me and I'm sure many others that the real reason was because he ministered openly against Abortion, and wider spreading Perversion, and against the silent Church leaders, my trust in EWTN dropped deeply.
EWTN has one program .. 'The World Today' or something like that with R. Royal (sp?)
LSN (Lifesite news) and smaller Traditional Catholic YouTube content creators do a very good job and not censoring this Modernist 'Ape' Church and the Heresies.
Our current US Bishops are a corrupt group. There might be a handful of honest bishops. But all of them have blood stained hands from the thousands and thousands of clerical sexual abuse victims. Fr Gene, what you write about the homosexual US Cardinals is applicable to every bishop across America. The retired Archbishop of Washington , the ever so sweetly smiling Queen of Africa and once homosexual lover of his Archbishop, the late Joseph Cardinal Bernadine was recently investigated for proposing to a younger priest that they have homosexual relations. The priest told the lifelong episcopal whore No! You can bet this faithful priest is now being punished. In his retirement Gregory will now receive between 1 and 2 MILLION DOLLARS per year. This for a powerful homosexual Cardinal who has been nothing but destructive to our modern American Church.
As we wait for the approaching Catholic conclave, American Catholics must cease and desist from donating any monies or assets with cash value to our current Roman Catholic Church. We are modern Catholics financing a very powerful, financially strong, politically connected and legally protected body of Catholic clergy who have no problem raping, molesting, assaulting, covering up, lying about and ignoring the real and ongoing human suffering resulting from today’s powerful homosexual Roman Catholic bishops; and the thousands of promiscuous ordained homosexual Catholic clergy. The laity must dedicate their resources and their lives to ridding our blessed ancient Church of these sexual infidels. This is precisely what Christ demands from us. Let us always choose to walk humbly, to bear burdens, to be faithful and to live our lives in the imitation of our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thanks, Fr Gene. I recall an article decades ago which said that a Conclave would never elect an American Pope because it would be adding huge spiritual power to top up overwhelming military and economic power. If that factor still applies inside the Conclave, I cannot judge. It might have been a code word to keep out Cardinals such as the various bent Archbishops of Boston.
Well, Captain. All due respect to your NAVY rank. “Restore the church’s moral credibility”? Pardon me while I puke with disgust. Another pope, any pope, regardless will remain part of the global Masonic cluster-fuck. The Masonic obelisk in st Peter’s Square is a daily reminder of unity among Masons. These RCC bastards, of any position, will never renounce, reject or cast off their demonic chains. It’s way too much fun wearing dresses, living the lifestyle and defiling everything around you. But who would know the difference when surrounded by others of the same spirit of death.
I completely understand where you are coming from. The fact that Francis has appointed mainly gay cardinals throughout the world like himself can lead many people to understand why so many people have left - and are leaving - the Catholic Church. The late Irish Bishop Pat Buckley wrote: "Today, the Roman Catholic episcopate and priesthood are predominantly gay. Is it a case that they promote each other? Is it a case that they promote each other in return for sexual favors? The case of ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick is a case in point. McCarrick saw to it that quite a number of his former bedfellows got miters. The old belief that the Holy Spirit appoints bishops is nonsense. A cleric gets promoted for being a company man, for having a brown tongue, and it seems for bending over for your superiors. Why are so many gay men attracted to the priesthood? Do they go in there to hide? Do they go in to escape? Do they go in for the position and the status? Do they go in for the easy, comfortable life?"
All the above perhaps. There is a spirit homosexuals are drawn by. That’s self hatred and narcissistism. The inability to bond with righteous life as a result of unresolved cravings for a sense of being and well-being. Forever out of reach.

Who would marry that satanic former priest let alone have 3 of his children. This is abhorrent
