“The People’s Pope.” I guess… if we’re talking about the People’s Republic of China or North Korea. I’m still doing a slow burn over the fact that the pope who banned the Traditional Latin Mass and called Catholics who are attracted to it “rigid and backwards” received a High Requiem Mass with Psalms sung in Latin by the Vatican Choir with the Liturgy performed in ancient Traditional Ecclesiastical Latin. In a just world, Bergoglio’s funeral Mass would’ve been said in Portuguese by one old hippie priest with a lone purple haired church lady singing “On Eagles Wings.”
I went to the Mass for Pope Francis in St Joseph's Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgaria on Mon 28th April. Amazingly, that was mostly in Latin. Well, with a tiny Catholic minority in Bulgaria and multiple subdivisions into linguistic minorities, Latin was one thing which united most of us in this small church.
All the great and the good turned out, to judge by all the people in dark clothing in the first three rows. And there were at least twenty clergy on the altar, including the Archbishop and Papal Nuncio.
They had printed off the homily in Bulgarian and English. Mercifully I could not understand the Bulgarian when it was read out. Usual blather about Pope Francis' tireless work for peace, that 2019 Document on Human Fraternity, dialogue, etc. You will not be surprised that there was nothing at all about Fr Ricca, "Don Mercedes" Inzoli, Uncle Ted McCarrick, Father Marco Rupnik, etc. Well, you want to give the dear departed a good send off.
Will Ricca keep his job as head of the Papal Household? Will Rupnik ever be laicised? Will any new Pope have the guts to clean up?
I literally got sick listening to FOX Katholic news reporters sitting on the sofa gushing over Ozempic faced Dolan and listening to the praises of the "People's Pope" .
Somehow the endless praising of The Very Humble People's Pope ignored the fact that he had the choice of living either in a palace or a suite in a luxury hotel. A choice open only to the seriously rich, whoever is picking up the tab. Not to mention the endless globe trotting with massive security costs.
In the last century archeologists started discovering them in the Early Christian communities and all amazingly say basically the same. They were written BEFORE the NT and copied by residents of these places after an Apostle or Disciple came through because the people wanted to preserve what Jesus had instructed .
Apostles were Bishops but Jesus instructed they should ONLY stay for 3 days and not take any money offered them UNLESS the next community had poor widows and orphans......Sodomy and same sex was strictly condemned as vile sins.
Dolan was the Deep State operative who was tapped to expose McCarrick … he got billions from Trump during the C19 lockdowns … still wields power within the C of C … like the globalists, he now answers to Trump … thanks, Fr Gene. Your work on behalf of these innocents is the work of St Michael himself…
That $1.5B was intended for small business owners of restaurants who were harmed by COVID. Mike Rezendes of AP showed how the Catholic Church had billions of dollars in assets and was not at risk like countless small businesses. Dolan was the spokesman for the Church who tried to say they deserved the $1.5 BILLION!!
"A recent report by the Associated Press claimed that the US Catholic Church had undertaken an “aggressive pursuit” of CARES Act funding...Cardinal Dolan later described it as a 'scurrilous article.' which “focuses solely on the Catholic Church”, despite the fact that “religious organizations representing all faiths participated in the program.” Dolan made a similar argument when. as Archbishop of Milwaukee, "Cardinal Dolan Transferred $57 Million To a Cemetery Fund to Shield It From Sexual Abuse Victims." See: https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2013/07/cardinal-dolan-transferred-57-million-to-a-cemetery-fund-to-shield-it-from-sexual-abuse-victims.html Dolan has a pattern not only of covering up abuse which dates back to his first parish assignment in 1976 when he covered up the sexual abuse of Chris Oleary by Father Valentine, but he also covered up a lot of abuse cases reported to the Vatican Embassy after the nuncio showed Dominican Father Tom Doyle the door for his 1985 Sex Abuse Report showing how bishops were transferring predators from parish to parish. My experience as an investigator dating back to 1991 is that sexual abuse and financial cover-ups usually go hand-in-hand. Dolan surely proves this to be true.
Thanks Fr Gene for a reflection on the lack of suitable candidates for Pope. If you have a decades long deep rotting process where totally unsuitable candidates are continually accepted for the priesthood and religious life, eventually a critical mass of disastrous bishops, archbishops and cardinals dominates the hierarchy and any decent candidates stand little chance of being selected - whether as seminarians or Pope.
I do not know if you had seen Fr David Marsden's 2018 letter on Oscott seminary (north east edge of Birmingham). It describes the grip which gay culture has on this seminary.
In 2024 Oscott had a total of 32 seminarians in Years 2 to 6. There were no candidates in Year 1, which may be a signal of its closure in the near future. If the writing isn't on the wall, it certainly will be in the financial statements.
The letter describes the rector, Canon Oakley, as a cowardly and compromised man. You will be glad to hear that he is no longer rector. He is now Bishop of Northampton and is apparently all in favour of Pope Francis.
Seeing that there is only one other Catholic seminary left in England, Allen Hall in central London, and that is known as Alice Hall, any sincere Catholic youngster ought to be looking abroad for seminary formation. He will probably skip the English College in Rome. There was the story years ago that the rector had to tell the students not to call one another by female names, but maybe that has been resolved......
The cleansing will be at least a fifty year process from the seminaries upward. So you and I won't be around to see it completed or see justice for past, present or future abuse victims. We can hope to see the start once the corruption becomes too widely known.
Dolan is spiritually dangerous, a pompous fraud and a liar. Where do we start? Anthony Gorgia, Dolan's comments on Ramandan, hiding other abusers' actions, suppressing the sacraments during the Covid scam, palatial lifestyle while his flock are scraping by? I suppose a photo-op with his big grin and a fat cigar in his hand will assuage everyone's concerns!
This is the most egregious stain on the modern Catholic Church imaginable. It is the primary reason I have struggled with my commitment to it recently. How this is permitted to continue is unconscionable. One can only hope those responsible are held accountable by God’s justice.
There is a Apple podcast called Sacrificed in which a man talks about his abuse by a priest named Valentine, who shared a home with Dolan. Dolan knew and saw young boys go in to Valentine’s bedroom. When the man asked Dolan to help him, Dolan totally gaslit him. This is what destroyed him. Give a listen
You are a very courageous man and I pray for you and the victims you represent everyday.
Some people are targeted by Satanists who victimize little children with Satanic ritual abuse prior to their First Holy Communions. Perhaps a form of an anti-sacrament? Exorcists say that because Satan and his demons can’t attack God directly they rape and molest His children. This is an intense form of Hatred that really defies description.
What could possibly be worse?
Can a family of Satanists who probably dedicate their own children to Satan compare with traitor priests, bishops, archbishops, cardinals and on up the ladder, to dedicated Satanists?
There are those who believe that any man, who has been consecrated and has the power to confect the Eucharist commits the most grave sins possible because he represents the “other Christ” in the lives of his victims. And these Catholic victims are still in need of the Sacraments after the abuse takes place. Is this the height of cruelty?
I have said this before and I’ll repeat it now in a more succinct form that over time and through experience, I have come to believe in the unforgivable sin as including more than just impenitence. I do not believe Jesus limited it to that. I believe Jesus Christ was warning that it is possible to blaspheme the Holy Spirit before the “end” of one’s life, before one draws their last breath. And Our Lord and Savior said that he who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this age nor in the age to come.
Jesus also warns those who teach the innocent to do wrong would be better off having a millstone tied around their necks.
Christ cleansed the Temple with a whip and they were “only” defiling His Father’s House with theft. What do you think He will do with those who use the Roman Collar to molest, and to rape, both physically and spiritually? And what will be a just judgment for those who are complicit, who enable and cover up and even put Satanic priests back into circulation? There will be no need of “proof” at the Final Judgement, all be revealed.
Just a little reflection before the Conclave officially begins. . .
Is the information about Cardinals and Bishops who are known or even remotely suspected of abuse or cover up widespread enough among members of the Conclave that they would be automatically eliminated from the pool of candidates for pope?
Unfortunately, because most of the cardinals are homosexuals who have engaged in sexual predation and/or homosexual misconduct, they might actually want a pope like them who would have their backs like Francis who never disciplined over 150 bishops credibly accused of abuse. Look who was chosen to close Francis’ casket - Mahoney whom the cardinals knew covered up almost as much abuse in LA as Bergoglio did in Buenos Aires, and was was also accused of abusing vulnerable young men like Bergoglio did with Jesuit novices in Argentina.
The problem was addressed as early as 98 AD (Didache) but got worse in 1123 when celibacy was mandated which led to a major influx of homosexuals into the Roman Catholic priesthood/episcopacy. You had a number of both very sexually active gay and straight popes in the 16th century, but the number of gay clergy grew considerably after the sexual revolution of the 1960s. The Catholic Church appears to be going the route of mainstream Protestant denominations in which there are very few straight clergy today. Saint Pope Pius V at the end of the 16th century reversed the course set by his gay predecessor pontiffs, but that was not at a time when almost all of the Roman Catholic clergy were gay as is the case today outside of Africa and Asia. EWTN, CNA, and Church leaders do not want to admit to how and why there are so many sexually active gay clergy in a Church that teaches that homosexual behavior is against Church teachings based on the scriptures and the natural law.
Thank you. Sounds like it’s been a problem for quite a while. It’s hard to understand and in today’s culture it’s just more of the same. So, in your expertise, what do we do other than stay informed and pray?
Stop contributing to the Church and let Church leaders (your pastor and bishop) know that you will resume contributing once the problem of clerical sexual predation and homosexual misconduct involving the clergy is resolved.
Thank you for your consistent courage in saying this. A lot of dioceses may need to feel the pain financially before they "see the light." It's a shame it has to come to that.
Plus, many of us wish you could be the chancellor or VG of our dioceses!

Montse Alvarado Named President and COO of EWTN News. What a disgraceful disgusting liar she is. The coverage of the Francis funeral was sickening
