"...73 percent of homosexuals acknowledge having preyed on adolescents or younger boys..." And those are only the ones who admit to preying. But the hierarchy spends a lot of time and ink talking about reaching out to the "marginalized" and those on the "peripheries," i.e. homosexuals. Whom do they think they are kidding with all their blather?

Dear Msgr. Gomulka, your exposé nails the ‘demonic lie’ (John 8:44) we fight—seminaries grooming predators and bishops’ cover-ups fuel our Apostate Church expose. Your 80% stat and Leo XIV’s failures are grist for justice. We stand with you—Romans 12:21, ‘Overcome evil with good.’ Ooooh-rahh! – Cpl Dan”

Thanks for the informative article. The Lavender Mafia, however, does not exist just within the Catholic Church. It also permeates schools, courts, government, industry, and high finance. Meanwhile, several observations you have made I would take issue with.

It is possible for a young man to live in perfect continence, without being emotionally attracted to any woman. Traditional Catholicism teaches us to have custody of the eyes and custody of the heart.

Moreover, this remark of yours is incredible: "Because they interpreted the grooming gay sex acts they were introduced to in the seminary during their period of psychosexual development as acts of love and friendship, they did not perceive that they were sexually abusing the boys upon whom they preyed." Seriously?

When I was about ten years old, I was fairly cognizant of all the biological plumbing and, judging from conversations in the schoolyard, so were my peers. We were also cognizant concerning perversion, and used to refer to Sodomites as queers, gays, faggots, and dikes. Rest assured that if any priest bared all if I was in the seminary, I would have left the grounds howling. I certainly knew what Holy Purity was.

In a healthy Christian culture, women would be dressed like the Amish. The woman depicted in the photo that heads your article in no way meets any standard of Christian modesty, even though this is the norm in the new Sodom. It also goes without saying that in a healthy Christian culture there would be no such things as locker rooms and common showers. Bodily maintainence, dressing and undressing, and health are extremely private affairs which belong ideally within the parameters of one's bedroom and at the utmost within the sanctuary of the family. They have no place in any public venue.

Our Lady of Fatima said that most souls go to Hell for sins against the flesh, and that certain fashions would be introduced which offend Our Lord very much. That is the true root of the problem- the all out attack on Holy Chasity and Continence.

Only prayer can save us. Not even a Holy Pope would make a difference at this point unless he heeds the requests of Our lady of Fatima,'

In the Holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Fr Gene

I noted your comment elsewhere on how priests are nearly unemployable elsewhere, which leads them to being even more trapped in a system of cover ups. Where on earth can they earn an honest living?

A very helpful article I saw some time ago urged every young man contemplating the priesthood to first gain solid saleable skills - carpenter, car mechanic, plumber, electrician, farm worker, etc. Something that won't go out of fashion, like my long ago IT skills acquired at such effort.

Then if your superior tries anything dodgy, you can instantly quit. And even tell the truth about what you saw and experienced.

And even if you are unhappy with your vocation, you can quit and start over. You are not trapped in festering unhappiness.

I noticed one local priest who left the priesthood around 2002 at the age of 36 and went on immediately to work at a local high school. I suspect that he had a maths degree, which is like gold dust in the British education system. And any number of other employers love highly developed maths skills.

Once again, you’ve hit the nail on the head. I am wondering how many SSPX and Sede priests are also closet homosexuals? Can anyone comment on that?

The SSPX has a Fr Arnaud Rostand problem.

The Sedes also have problems. But I cannot say exactly what they are at the moment.

If we want things to change we may as well start looking at the elephant in the room. Prevost was elected despite being a twice accused pedophile protector and the cardinals broke the rules when electing him. A solution must begin by reporting on these facts. Ignoring them is censorship since no one except fromrome.info is even mentioning these scandals!

There are several issues I'd like to separate out. There is the issue of male homosexuality. There is abuse. There is the issue of the closet.

Abuse is obviously bad, evil, demonic. However, abuse is not exclusively about sex. It is about power. Power is seductive. A lust for power can also be contagious. When someone has power lorded over them, they then lord the power over someone else. It seems clear to me that this dynamic exists in the priesthood.

The closet is problematic. Living a life hiding a huge part of who you are can be traumatizing. When gay men are in the closet, it must be hard for them to be healthy. How can they even process what they are going through? As Gene mentioned, they are sexually stunted. The closet forces them to stay sexually stunted. So it seems to me the "closet" we force priests and all gay Catholics to live in is damaging.

One question we should consider is this: is the priesthood the way gay men feel like they can be good Catholics? Is this somehow seen as the option for gay men? The same can be asked for women and religious life.

Now we have the topic of male homosexuality. I would like to point out that they are being scapegoated, as if they are the entire problem within the church. This is profoundly unfair. Isn't it true that most sexually active priests have female partners?

As I pointed out in previous articles, celibacy is impossible for most heterosexual and homosexual priests. Unfortunately, the "disordered" aspect of homosexuality can impact the preaching and ministry of truly celibate homosexual priests. Church leaders in the 12th century were warned that imposing celibacy on diocesan clergy would increase the number of homosexual clergy and discourage the recruitment of heterosexual candidates.

It does seem that celibacy is near impossible except for a very small percentage of the population. It is setting up an impossible situation, expecting failure.

Many of my extended family are Buddhist, and I once went to a Buddhism lecture (the equivalent of Catechism) hosted by a monk in his 40s. Someone asked him about how he resisted the carnal temptations. He responded that he can't completely insulate himself, and whenever he got tempted, he would ask his Buddhist leadership (about the equivalent of a Bishop) to reassign him back to a temple in the mountains, so he can focus on his prayers. What you said in the beginning simply makes sense. It is human nature. It is how men function.

Homo or Hetero no matter: The deviancy of putting your nasty hands on a kid is a vulgar mental deficiency that defies common sense. You have to know when your found out and the right folks impact your existence, your going to prison!

They go to jail and hopefully it is realized that they are not fixable ( even in the miraculous, your not going to trust that knucklehead to baby sit your kids) and those who have allowed these nasty sun of guns to proliferate and move them to continue their exploits , need to be in prison with them! As far back as Gauthe, there are priests alive today that knew and said nothing. They need to go to jail as accessories!

Yes, this is why Pope Leo who is aiding and abetting convicted child pornographer, Msgr. Carlo Capella, and other clerical perverts is nothing more than “an accessory after the fact.”

As long as the Church teaches that a sacramental life is necessary, or at least most conducive, to salvation, refusing to ordain married men AND women is tantamount to enabling the damnation of many souls. And incredulous as it is, Fr. Gene, it would clearly appear that they will cling to their caste of eunuchs at all costs.

I agree there is a major disconnect. Some people, especially abuse victims of male clergymen, are not comfortable being alone with priests. Some just do not feel safe. They need women pastors.
